Physical,
Occupational and Speech Therapy
Rehabilitation services are available
to residents of Bethany Homes (including Towers and Kinder House
residents) and individuals living within the community in the form
of evaluations and treatment of neurological and/or physical disorders
by registered physical, occupational and speech therapists. The
short-term goal is to improve the resident's functional ability
and to encourage the resident to be independent in activities of
daily living. The long-term goal is to have the residents reach
their highest possible functional level. Individuals are evaluated
with problems related to ambulation, range of motion, upper and
lower extremity coordination and balance, endurance/tolerance, activities
of daily living, and swallowing or language difficulties. Residents
receive rehabilitation, communication, and cognition services according
to their individual needs and as ordered by their physician.
